Director of the Pipe, Valves & Fittings Division



The Director of the Pipe, Valves & Fittings Division (PVF) is responsible for leading supplyFORCE’s MRO strategy and growth initiatives driving the success of the division through both direct activities and through coordination with other departments (sales, marketing, pricing and operations). The Division Director is measured primarily upon growth and revenue generation but is also responsible for non-direct revenue related activities.

  • Works with the Account Executives, Business Development team and supplyFORCE members to identify and pursue new business opportunities to include being a team member in the RFP Process Strategy and assist where needed in closing the sale
  • Provides competitive pricing strategy guidance to Account Executives, Business Development and Pricing/Quotations for new and existing accounts
  • Develop metrics for and tracks performance of key stakeholders (IMPACT supplier partners) and works with shared services to ensure all required reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Leads the PVF Steering Committee Meetings; conducts regular Steering Committee Meetings soliciting guidance from the committee
  • Provides a monthly update for account executives and business development with PVF market and competitive intelligence
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Leadership to create and oversee the execution of a PVF Marketing Plan complete with content, calendar, events, and alignment with pipeline and sales objectives.
  • Participates as required in Member Quarterly Business Reviews to support Account Executives and report on Division Goals, Strategy, and progress to goal.
  • Leads division steering committee, developing, and executing division specific strategic initiatives
  • Identifies geographic service gaps and develops potential solutions
  • Resolves channel issues as escalated
  • Represents supplyFORCE at key industry meetings and serves as lead AD aligned division liaison
  • Provides support and growth for IMPACT partners; defines best partners and leverages industry contacts to best position supplyFORCE for improved margins and growth
  • Continually evaluates members and their service offering creating a national/regional offer to drive sales and expansion/cross sell with existing clients.
  • Assists with the development of total cost of ownership delivery programs
  • Negotiates manufacturer participation and revenue support for supplyFORCE National Sales Meeting and other sponsored events
  • Handles any other corporate duties and/or projects, as assigned, for the benefit of the organization



  • Minimum 10 years of sales and/or sales management experience on regional or national level
  • Extensive Knowledge of MRO solutions and market drivers
  • Extensive experience with Industrial PVF MRO Solutions
  • Extensive Industry Supplier Relationships
  • Ability to travel throughout a large territory
  • Knowledge of Distributor/Vendor roles and responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of industrial supply distribution and e-commerce
  • Experience negotiating and managing large corporate agreements
  • Project management experience


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Sales, Marketing or Engineering; MBA preferred; or 10 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
