Pricing Manager

INTRODUCTION

The Pricing Manager is responsible for implementing a comprehensive national account pricing program. This includes communication/implementation of pricing with distributors, customers, internal systems, and the supplyFORCE ecommerce platform.

  • Manages a standard account base of customer agreements.
  • Follows the required quality processes.
  • Refreshes customer price workbooks based on customer and manufacturer end dates.
  • Customer Price  workbook updates and SPA maintenance as needed.
  • Develops pre-negotiation analytics in advance of customer price refresh.
  • Prepares electronic files for upload into Ariba, Hubwoo, and other e-commerce platforms.
  • Manages documentation, communication and file maintenance of customer and Distributor price workbooks.
  • Obtains Special Pricing Agreements (SPA) from manufacturers and manages them for select National Accounts
  • Participates on distributor member and customer calls where required
  • Analyzes customer spend data for savings and margin enhancement opportunities.
  • Works with MFRs to secure new and existing SPAs for customer base.
  • Completes existing customer RFQ’s for new or existing business with input from Director of Pricing, Division Management, Account Executive, and Executive VP of Sales.
  • Provides value add/cost savings summaries to FST.
  • Coordinates with price administrator and/or enters price matrix load into NAV.
  • Completes pricing audits where required.
  • Manages commodity pricing programs through interfacing with TradeService
  • Assists with new business opportunities based on bandwidth
  • Miscellaneous projects as assigned

Experience

  • Experience in the Industrial Distribution industry preferred
  • Proficiency in data manipulation in Excel

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
