Sr. Pricing Manager

LOCATION

INTRODUCTION

The Sr. Pricing Manager is responsible for the development and management of competitive market baskets used to secure new and existing customer contracts through the proposal process as well as maintain existing customer pricing & analytics. The Sr. Pricing Manager, engages in developing strategic professional relationships with manufacturer partners and member distributors to communicate opportunities and acquire competitive cost levels. The Sr. Pricing Manager will act as the primary resource supporting the Pricing Managers along with internal departments that include, Business Development, Sales Management, and Account Executives. The Sr. Pricing Manager will maintain an account base and oversee the quality procedures for the Pricing department as well as be the direct supervising manager for a portion of the staff. The Sr. Pricing Manager will assist department leads in establishment of MFR relationships and review of contract pricing to ensure most competitive levels are being realized across all opportunities.

  • Responsible for relationship development in conjunction with Pricing Managers, Channel Management, documentation management, and ongoing maintenance of customer specific pricing programs and contracts
  • Works with the Business Development team, Account Executives, Distributor Members, Channel Management and Manufacturers to create competitive pricing programs
  • Supports the completion of RFQ’s / Market Basket requests from clients
  • Obtains Special Pricing Agreements (SPA) from manufacturers and manages them for select National Accounts
  • Supports the data collection processes to enhance overall data and content for supplyFORCE.
  • Manages a standard account base of customer agreements.
  • Develops pre-negotiation analytics in advance of customer price refresh.
  • Prepares electronic files for upload into e-commerce platforms.
  • Manages documentation, communication and file maintenance of customer and Distributor price workbooks.
  • Analyzes customer spend data for savings and margin enhancement opportunities.
  • Provides value add/cost savings summaries to Account Executives.
  • Management of pricing in supplyFORCE ERP system.
  • Completes pricing audits where required.
  • Handles any other corporate duties and/or projects, as assigned, for the benefit of the organization
  • Oversees quality review process for team deliverables in conjunction with Director of Pricing

Experience

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Electrical, Industrial/Safety, BPT, or PVF industries, with solid product knowledge and experience with distribution, manufacturer relationships. Negotiation and collaborative skills are highly valued for this role.
  • Experience in collection, consolidation and analysis of product data and pricing.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
